ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sam Reid is a writer, visual artist, and educator. He and his wife live and work all over the world, but call London home. After reading English at Oxford, Sam wrote and directed short films, and developed a sitcom for the BBC. He then went on to produce theatre and opera, before settling down to the fantastically lucrative occupation of writing novels (business was never his strong suit).

Sam is a proud dyslexic whose love of storytelling got him through the hard process of learning to read and write as a kid. As a result, all of his stories are written with that experience in mind. He believes that dyslexia can be a much a blessing as it is a curse, as long as you can find a way to stay organised. On any given day, he is as likely to be found staring at a watch like it’s an alien artefact (he still can’t tell the time), or trying versions of the word 'thoroughly' until he stumbles across one that spellcheck even recognises as English, as he is working on novels.

Sam is available for school talks, creative writing workshops, and tutoring.
