A book that children and adults alike will enjoy. Great pacing and plot with an unusual blend of humour and gravity at just the right moments. In some ways it feels like Lord of the Flies for the current generation but add into that a post-apocalyptic backdrop and you've got all the ingredients for an excellent book.

Brilliant book - funny, sad and so entertaining it turned me into a hermit for 3 days. I especially loved the descriptions of London - now I can't look at any of the capital's famous landmarks without thinking of this story. Eagerly anticipating the next instalment.

This is a completely gripping story. It's exciting and disturbingly moving as the teenagers' characters change and develop. It would make a great television series!
